THE DRIVING TEST OF THE RUMINANT FEEDING FAT CONTENT

"IT3 is a fat and Omega 3 which is IDPs is the protein"

IT3 is the Technical Index to measure the Omega 3 content. This formula criterion characterizes the quantity and availability of fat type Omega 3 of a forage or a concentrate (raw material or compound feed), or of all ration. It also reports on the compared proportion of Omega   to Omega 6.

How to use it? Each component of the feed (fodder, concentrate) has its IT3 value. Just multiply the IT3 value of each food by its dry substance and then summarize it all in order to obtain the overall value of the ration IT3 (in g).
